Starflex Fabrication started as a family-owned company in 1981, building poultry-processing equipment designed by founder Ollie Wilson. Even then, every saw, cutter, and frame we made was fully fabricated, welded, and finished in-house. That hands-on expertise built the foundation for who we are today: a custom fabrication shop trusted across industries for precision, adaptability, and customer-first service.
By 2010, demand for poultry OEMs was fading. We had a choice: let the company fade with it, or evolve. We chose to evolve. With the support of our founder, the next generation took the reins – Jan stepping in from her role as controller, Tim moving up from welder to plant manager – and together, they steered Starflex into custom fabrication. In 2017, Jan and Tim bought the company outright, and by 2021, Starflex was fully dedicated to serving a wide range of industries with quality metal fabrication and powder coating.
Some of the customers we served in the ’80s are still with us. That longevity—of both employees and clients – is a point of pride that defines Starflex as much as any machine in our shop. Today, we’re proud to be NSF, ISO 9001:2015, and ITAR certified, and to support clients ranging from OEMs to food and beverage to defense.
