Meet the Team

Jan Eidson

Co-Owner

I find the entire fabrication process very exciting.

My father founded Starflex back in 1981, and I have been involved in the operation on and off since its beginning. In 2017, Tim Garner and I were able to officially purchase the company, allowing me to continue my father’s legacy of quality and innovation.
The people involved and the machinery used to turn a blank piece of metal into an awesome product are wonderful. My favorite part is watching our employees work together as a team to exceed customer expectations while learning and growing their knowledge – they are truly talented individuals.

I am honored every day, knowing I get to witness and assist in the growth of these people and contribute to the success of our customers.

When I’m not chatting up potential customers or lost in awe at the newest innovations, I can be found at the lake with a nice glass of red wine…people-watching.

I enjoy seeing what our new state-of-the-art equipment can produce.

A cousin of mine introduced me to the world of metal fabrication over 30 years ago, and I never looked back. I’ve been with Starflex for 26 of those years, and in 2017, I purchased the company with Jan Eidson. Being there for my leaders, helping to develop them to become better, and treating our employees with respect is very important to me.

Watching the evolution of advancements in manufacturing is fascinating, and being able to bring these advanced technologies to Starflex is a personal point of pride. I look forward to seeing how each new process or machine changes how products are produced to provide higher quality and production efficiency.

When I’m not flinging fabrication facts or admiring advanced technology, I retreat to the outside world for a game of golf or a spot of fishing.

Quality Manager and Engineer

Taking an idea and bringing it to fruition always gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I joined Starflex in 2019, but I knew from an early age that the metal and fabrication industry was where I was meant to be. I picked up the welding bug in high school while enrolled at West GA Tech and have spent the following years tirelessly building my skills, knowledge, and certifications.

I really enjoy the design and creation of each project – the more complicated, the better! I tend to think outside of the norm to accomplish difficult tasks; occasionally, this leads to accomplishing previously unattainable goals.

When I’m not pondering process improvements or creating metal masterpieces, I’m pursuing personal improvements and creating family memories.

Jason Hamrick

Engineer

I’ve always been fascinated by the process of starting with raw materials and creating a part or assembly.

I’ve been at Starflex for almost 13 years. I started in shipping and receiving but moved up through the ranks into machine operation, sheet metal specialist, and then on to engineering and operations as a fully certified fabrication engineer.

I enjoy the entire process, from using our design software to creating interactive 3D models to handcrafting the finished assemblies. I have a knack for envisioning what the customer envisions, and I love bringing their ideas into reality.

When I’m not tinkering with CAM codes or fabricating quality components, I’m improving my bowling average or enjoying a relaxing afternoon out in nature or my trusty recliner.

My favorite part of the manufacturing process is watching a concept come in as a print and then seeing the finished product

I have been at Starflex for eight years this past September. When I earned my MBA from Strayer University, I never expected to come into the metal fabrication industry, but when I got here, it just fit. Nothing satisfies me more than meeting new people, developing new relationships, solving problems, and contributing to the growth of any venture I am involved in, both personally and professionally.

When I’m not crunching numbers or marveling at the latest completed project, I’m orchestrating childhood adventures and seeking out the wild places.

Dylan Garner

Operations Administrator

What I enjoy most about the manufacturing process is seeing things go from raw materials to a finished product.

I come from a family with a long history in the metal fabrication industry, and joining in their footsteps felt natural to me. With that being said, I knew Starflex was the best place for me to gain every bit of experience I could as I further my education because their dedication to providing the highest quality customer service through continual process improvements extends to all aspects of operations.

When I’m not shuffling papers or studying for exams, I’m outside counting birdies or enjoying the company of friends and family.

CJ Eidson

I love the way the process involves the whole team and how we rely heavily on the skills and dedication of each member.

While I officially started at Starflex in 2022, it’s always been a part of my life. This is a proud family business and has been from the start. I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue the family tradition of producing quality precision components.

When I’m not learning from the experts or lending a hand, I’m enjoying the great outdoors and helping my animal buddies.

Dennis

For me, it’s all about working together as a team to see products through from start to final completion.

I started in metal manufacturing as a welder and joined Starflex over 24 years ago. In that time, I learned a great deal about manufacturing and metal fabrication. Today, I get to share my experience and knowledge with my team to help create high-quality products for our customers. Teamwork is essential to me, whether it’s fostering a team environment on the shop floor or working with clients to develop solutions.

When I’m not coaching the team to success or fiddling with metal components, I’m working on my backswing and enjoying time with my family.
